This was most discussed topic in west bengal during 2002 when Indian Mujahideen attacked American Center In Kolkata. One police man pull the trigger of his .303 rifle but it did not fire and the police man died in counter attack by militants.
Our defense ministry should really think on it. Why they allow these 2nd world war rifle in this 21 century when terrorists got most advanced weapons.

There are a lot of why's in this country which till date remain unanswered. The main reason behind this is us Indians not asking questions. But after the recent attack on Mumbai we are seeing a certain paradigm shift among people. I just hope this attitude remains like this and if it does then my friend very soon you will get your answer.
I hope you did not forget our discussion on RTI (right to information act) act Sukalpo, if we can get our answers by using this this is the high time to start applying it.
Perhaps there are many same rules we have but we are not simply aware of those rules/acts.
